What is Twitter?

Twitter is a website designed to allow people to communicate and stay connected by exchanging quick, frequent, 140 character messages. When you log into Twitter, you simply choose whose messages you want to receive and how you want to receive them.

The MHRA runs a number of Twitter accounts to help you get the information you need. These updates can be read through your mobile device or on a computer without having to search for it. Keep reading to find out more about how to use Twitter.

@MHRAgovuk is our corporate channel and where you will find general information and news from the Agency. You can also follow our Press Office for press releases and statements at @MHRApress.

As the government agency which is responsible for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work, and are acceptably safe; @MHRAdevices for medical devices information and safety alerts, and @MHRAmedicines for medicines information and safety alerts.

Finally, we run @MHRAherbals where you can find information on the safe use of herbal remedies.
