A Europe-wide review of clinical trial data, adverse drug reaction reports and published literature on statins has concluded that various adverse reactions may be associated with statin use.

Orciprenaline sulphate (Alupent Syrup) is a medicine used to treat airway obstruction seen in conditions such as asthma. A review of orciprenaline sulphate recently conducted by the MHRA showed that the balance of its benefits and risks is no longer favourable. Therefore, this medicine will be withdrawn from the market over the next year.
