Orciprenaline sulphate (Alupent Syrup) is a medicine used to treat airway obstruction seen in conditions such as asthma. A review of orciprenaline sulphate recently conducted by the MHRA showed that the balance of its benefits and risks is no longer favourable. Therefore, this medicine will be withdrawn from the market over the next year.

The following Public Assessment Report (published November 2009) presents a summary of the data and conclusions from the orciprenaline review.
