Alpha-adrenoceptor antagonists and intraoperative floppy iris syndrome

In April 2005, patients given tamsulosin for treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia were identified as having an increased risk of Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome (IFIS)—a newly diagnosed syndrome that can lead to surgical complications during cataract surgery.

Cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators (implantable)

Cochlear implants

Dialysis
