PROBLEM:
In December 2004, Crest Medical recalled all Blue Dot umbilical cord clamps supplied as single items and all Crest Medical maternity packs. This recall may not have been completed effectively.

ACTION BY:
All involved in the use, supply and/or distribution of cord clamps and maternity packs.		  

ACTION:

  • Ensure that all relevant staff are aware that these products were recalled and should not be used.
  • Remove from use, and the distribution chain, any remaining Crest Medical Blue Dot umbilical cord clamps and Crest Medical maternity packs.
  • Contact Healthcare Sales and Service Limited to arrange return of any product identified (Crest Medical was acquired by Healthcare Sales and Service Limited after the recall was initiated).
