Appollo bath hoists.
Models: Elegance, Excalibur and Appollo.
Manufactured by Reva Industries Ltd; previously manufactured by Aquabeau or Airbath Appollo.

The Appollo bath hoist was initially manufactured by Aquabeau and then Airbath Appollo, both of which have since ceased trading. Since April 2009 Reva Industries Limited has been the manufacturer of the Appollo range of bath hoists and has informed the MHRA that it has no legal responsibility for those devices manufactured or supplied by Aquabeau or Airbath Appollo before April 2009.
There is a risk of the occupant sliding out of the seat and sustaining serious injury.
The bath hoist seat was not originally fitted with a safety device to stop the occupant falling from the seat if they start to slip.Reva Industries Limited issued a Field Safety Notice in March 2010 calling for all their bath hoists to be retrospectively fitted with a safety belt. Reva Industries Limited subsequently redesigned the seat assembly with a repositioned safety belt mounting, intended to further reduce the risk of the occupant falling from the bath hoist seat during use. Reva Industries intends that the assembly will be fitted to all new bath hoists from the end of July 2010.
The Reva Industries redesigned seat assembly and belt also fit Appollo bath hoists previously manufactured by Aquabeau and Airbath Appollo due to the similarity in design. Reva Industries is willing to supply these assemblies for retrofitting to these bath hoists, but there will be a charge.
