Handle assembly fitted to monkey pole, model TGN-R100R, manufactured by Rolko GmbH.
Supplied in the UK by Hill-Rom from January 2007 to January 2009 inclusive.

The affected handle assemblies have a red button on the side of the height adjuster and can be identified by the date mark on the bottom of the adjuster. As shown in the example below, the number in the centre represents the year of manufacture (07 = 2007) with the arrow pointing to the month of manufacture (4 = April).

The height adjuster can fail in use, resulting in the strap extending and the handle dropping. This may cause the patient to fall and sustain an injury.
Hill-Rom has issued a Field Safety Notice but has been unable to trace all affected handle assemblies.
