This poster contains information on using the right type of finger pricker.
The problem
Using the wrong type of finger pricker can cause potentially fatal cross infection if contaminated with even the tiniest amount of blood.
The solution
Use either:
A disposable single use finger prick device.
Or
A multiple patient device where end cap and lancet are thrown away and replaced after each patient use.
