Advertising complaint - Nurofen Plus Tablets - Pharmacy2U website - Reference to “always read the label” - February 2008

Boots Pharmacy complained to the MHRA about the Pharmacy2U website for consumers, during February 2008. The complainant was concerned th at the website did not contain a prominent warning to always read the label on the pages advertising medicines and that medicines were grouped under the title “essential medicines”.

The MHRA upheld the complaint. Pharmacy2U agreed to amend their website to include this information in the main part of the text and delete the reference to “essential”.
