Good Pharmacovigilance Practice Consultative Committee

The Pharmacovigilance Consultative Committee was established in November 2004 and meets twice yearly (one general and one technical meeting).

The terms of reference of the meeting are to advise and provide information to representatives of trade associations and other government departments on to aspects of Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GPvP) and GPvP inspections.

Composition of the group includes representatives from the following trade associations:

• Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI)
• British Association of Research Quality Assurance (BARQA)
• British Generic Manufacturers Association (BGMA)
• The Bioindustry Association (BIA)
• Ethical Medicines Industry Group (EMIG)
• Herbal Forum
• The Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB)
• Pharmaceutical Information and Pharmacovigilance Association (PIPA)
• The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (TOPRA)
  

The technical meeting objectives are to provide a forum for discussion on all technical aspects of GPvP and to advise members on the interpretation of the principles of GPvP by the MHRA Inspectors.  Please also refer to our Frequently Asked Questions section for additional information on GPvP.
