Importing and exporting medicines

This section provides information on how we regulate the importing and exporting of medicines.

It includes information on importing unlicensed medicines,  the issue of export certificates to assist exporters of medicinal products to satisfy the import requirements of other countries and details of our legislation to apply the European Commission's guidance on minimising the risk of transmitting animal spongiform encephalopahty agents via medicines administered to humans in unlicensed medicines.
