Dietary supplements seized by US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

The US FDA have seized Charantea Ampalaya Capsules and Charantea Ampalaya Tea dietary supplements marketed and distributed by FulLife Natural Optics of Boca Raton, Florida. Although labelled as dietary supplements, they are being promoted for use in the treatment of serious conditions such as diabetes, anaemia, and hypertension. These unsubstantiated claims are evident in the products' labelling, including promotional literature and FulLife's internet web site. Whilst there is no evidence that these products are available in the UK, consumers are advised to be cautious.
