Terms and conditions

  • Cancellations of event by the organisers Notice of cancellation received in writing more than 14 days prior to the event will be issued a full refund.
  • Cancellations received 14 days or less prior to the event will not receive a refund and will need to pay the full speaker fee that was negotiated.

Cancellation of event by MHRA speaker

  • Should the speaker cancel for any reason we will endeavour to find a substitute speaker, however if we are unable to find a substitute you will not need to pay the speaker fees.
  • MHRA will not be liable to you for any costs or losses you incur as a result of postponement or cancellation.

Force majeure circumstances
Should MHRA be unable to perform any obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to causes or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to any Act of God, war or threatened war, terrorism or threatened terrorism, fire, flood, drought, strike, lock out or actions at the venue, MHRA will not be liable to you for any losses or claims arising from this.

Providing a MHRA speaker
Please note when making a request that there is no guarantee that the MHRA will be able to provide a speaker for your event. The Speaker Request Form must be used at all times in order to request MHRA speaker, requests made directly to the individuals will not be considered. All incoming requests are carefully evaluated to assure that they:

  • meet the basic requirements listed below
  • provide an opportunity for MHRA to share what we do with priority target audience
  • based on the information provided on the request form are in line with our business objectives.

The following terms must be followed for MHRA participation at your event:

  • Fundraising, Promotional Activities and Endorsements: MHRA Speakers may not participate in any activity that is associated with fundraising, promotional activities or endorsements, either directly or indirectly.
  • Honoraria or Fees: We expect commercial profile organisations/events to cover the standard speaker fee of £1,250 and meet speakers’ travel, accommodation and sustenance costs. For non-profit organisations/events we would only expect speakers’ travel, accommodation and subsistence costs to be covered. If you are unable to pay the speaker fee we may be able to negotiate a new fee however it is at the senior management discretion should they want to accept these revised terms
  • Travel Expenses: We expect any organisation, commercial or not for profit to cover the speakers travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses. When discussing a fee and expenses with the MHRA please state the conditions of the expenses, e.g. economy travel price etc. We expect that to be arranged by the organisers unless agreed otherwise.
