Continuing professional development

Some of our education modules have been accredited for continuing professional development (CPD) points. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (external link) of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom has approved the MHRA learning modules on pharmacovigilance, on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), on opioids and on antipsychotics for CPD credits. The module on anaesthetics machines has been accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists (external link).


Devices education modules

We have produced a series of educational packages covering medical device topics that have been reported as areas of concern or as problems through our Adverse Incident Centre. Most of the packages come with a quiz to assess knowledge gained and are certified and a number are recognised by Royal Colleges.

Some packages contain video of operations and may not be for the squeamish. These training aids are free to use and require no passwords.

Our educational modules on medicines have been written for health professionals who routinely make decisions about prescribing, supplying or administering medicines. The modules cover clinically relevant aspects of medicines regulation as well as topics on specific classes of medicines.
