The Veterinary Products Committee (VPC) provides the Secretary of State with scientific advice on any aspect of veterinary medicinal products and specified feed additives; it hears representations on decisions relating to the granting, refusal, variation, suspension or revocation of a marketing authorisation for a veterinary medicinal product, and promotes the collection of information relating to suspected adverse reactions for the purpose of enabling such advice to be given.

Invitation to apply for membership of the Veterinary Products Committee, the Medical and Scientific Panel, and the Appraisal Panel for Human Suspected Adverse Reactions to Veterinary Medicines.
The Veterinary Medicines Directorate is inviting nominations/applications, for membership of the Veterinary Products Committee (VPC) and/or its sub-committees: the Medical and Scientific Panel (MSP), and the Appraisal Panel for Human Suspected Adverse Reactions to Veterinary Medicines (Appraisal Panel), for terms of office beginning 1 January 2008. These appointments are not for full-time employment. The closing date for applications is 16 March 2007.
