Establishment
The Advisory Board on the Registration of Homoeopathic Products (ABRHP) ('the Board') was established in 1994 by the Medicines (Advisory Board on the Registration of Homoeopathic Products) Order 1994 (SI 1994/102) as amended by the Medicines (Advisory Board on the Registration of Homoeopathic Products) Order 1995 (SI 1995/309) pursuant to the powers contained in section 4 of the Medicines Act 1968.

Terms of reference
The ABRHP's terms of reference are:
To give advice with respect to safety and quality in relation to any homoeopathic medicinal product for human use in respect of which a certificate of registration could be granted, or homoeopathic veterinary product which satisfies the conditions set out in Article 7 of the Veterinary Homoeopathics Directive (92/74/EEC).
