Freedom of information and data protection

This section provides information on how to make requests to us under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Data Protection Act 1998.

The  Freedom of Information Act, the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Human Rights Act 1998  are linked. Together they are intended to help maintain a fair balance between the rights and interests of individuals, in particular between the freedom to process information on the one hand, and rights of privacy on the other.
